Researches about hair and fur drawing

Picture to People libraries are getting more and more advanced and complicated. Since some time ago, I'm researching about new realistic techniques to render some nature structures like fur and hair.

I'm developing my own exclusive algorithms and I have already got some advances. I could already create some code able to generate interesting fur and hair patterns.

Below you can see a letter "a" rendered by using the model I already researched to produce fur. There still are a long way to a production level software to create 3D fur text effects, but the effort has been worthy so far.

My algorithms don't cheat like some desktop graphic softwares that use brushes to create this kind of effect. The piece above was drawn using thousands of vector based hair structures created from scratch in rendering pipeline.

New classic chromed and golden text makers online

These days, I was developing new graphics functions to be use in Picture to People project.

Since a part of this job is done, I decided start creating new text effects taking advantage of these new features my graphic libraries provide.

Anyway, beware: no matter Picture to People text effect tools can understand the more uncommon chars of that languages, the softwares still depend on the font file data to know how to draw them. It means that if you choose a font that doesn't implement some letter of your text, that letter can be rendered as an empty space, a square or whatever the font data contains (even nothing).

If you have problems rendering more complex texts, you can choose the Arial or Tahoma fonts, because for sure they have all characters for the fully supported languages (and most for the partially supported ones). They are not artistic or special fonts, but at least you can create the text effect with the correct spelling.

A library to manipulate and convert Unicode strings

I could finally finish a reasonable library to read strings encoded by using the UFT (UCS Transformation Format) family of string/symbol codifications.

I also used the opportunity to create a lot of handy functions to manipulate Latin1 strings in an easier and more optimized way.

Now, to be able to offer "Unicode aware" text effects I need to be able to extract high code glyphs from TTF (or OTF) fonts. For sure it's much harder than programming encoders/decoders.

At least, the effort I made so far gave me a very deep understanding about some strange string conversion errors that can occur when users from East request text effects.

Ideas about graffiti decorations

Developing a new online graffiti text generator

I'm working very hard to create a new world class graffiti text generator. In some way, it will be a complementary software to the graffiti text creator we have already published.

I'm excited about this new renderer, because probably it will be a great success.
