What is Picture to People ?

"Picture to People" (P2P) is a huge Computer Graphics project. It was started to create new softwares able to make 2D drawing, 3D rendering, vexel drawing, text effects, photo effects, image filtering and other complex Computer Graphics operations. It has been made from scratch, including its low level Computer Graphics libraries like Maccala. Nowadays, most final features produced for this project are released as free online tools available from its official website. This blog talks about Computer Graphics, mainly concerning Picture to People development.

Realistic refective text effects

I'm working very hard to create a new software able to generate very reflective text effects. These special texts would represent a new class of effects in Picture to People software (probably the last one that is still missing concerning text effects).

It has been a difficult challenge mainly because of the discrete nature of pixels and because these new algorithms need to be fast to run in P2P server.

If everything goes right, these new text effects will be very realistic. Below you can see two preliminary examples created with some test algorithms in alpha stage.
