Tutorials of the month - March 2012

Have a look at the last tutorials I published at the blog about text effects.

This month I have posted tips to help you to create:
- a stylistic mercury text effect;
- a text made of green glass;
- a nicely illuminated tech text;

Below you see the samples about these last graphic texts that I taught how to create:

Released: 3D Text - Global Illumination

I have just released the new Picture to People tool to create 3D text effects. It's called 3D Text - Global Illumination because its renderer is based on advanced global illumination algorithms and heuristics. It's complementary to our other 3D text maker.

This new software is, for sure, the most professional and advanced 3D text generator ever published online. Some of its main features are:

- good color control (including background);
- native professional anti-aliasing;
- realistic soft shadows;
- cross shading (the letters shade each others);
- easy and detailed configuration of 3D transformations;
- many available text depths;
- more than 400 fonts to choose from.

Despite its great quality and ability to deal with complex fonts, there was a huge effort to make this tool with a reasonable performance, as an online software should be. It's finally real.

Below you see a text created by using this new feature (click to enlarge):

Create your own three-dimensional graphic texts right now by using our new 3D text software.
